We are excited to let club members know that coaching support is available from Slalom & White Water Racing Rep & Club Coach Nick Redshaw at the following Slalom Event in June:

Oughtibridge, South Yorkshire - July 5th & 6th - Entry Level Division 3 & 4 Slalom, River Don, Organising canoe club is Halifax CC. This is grade 1 water and can be shallow in the summer.

Basic camping is available right next to the river.

Nick is not organising this event but will kindly be there to offer club members tips on slalom techniques and getting down the slalom course as effectively as possible!

Kit wise - for newcomers to slalom it's fine to use a plastic boat. Helmets, buoyancy aids & suitable footwear essential. If you need to hire kit from the club please book this out via the website & if you need assistance with kit collection please get in contact well before the event.
