Dave C and Anita  welcome you to come on a leisurely paddle through the stunning Ironbridge Gorge on the River Severn including Jackfield Rapids. 

This is a short trip on moving water, less than 2 miles, but we can spend time time practicing WW skills at Jackfields for those that wish to.

The water  is grade 1 with one grade 2 rapid at Jackfields. If the water is too high, this event may need to be postponed or at an alternative site at short notice.

Canoes and Kayaks and other kit can be hired from SCC. If you need to hire a Canoe or Kayak or any other kit please contact Dave (canoe related) or Anita (kayak related) well in advance of the date of the event

There is also the option to join as a PEER PADDLER, responsible for your own safety and decision making on the river - please book on as a Peer Paddler

Please pay for any kit hire via the SCC website prior to this event

Although the weather will hopefully be getting warmer please wear suitable paddling gear for possible immersion in cold water.

Kit: Spray deck, buoyancy aid, helmet, air bags, paddles, swim lines for canoes, sensible footwear.

Advisable to bring a drink / snack as we may stop for a short break during the trip.
