The Club is very pleased to confirm that  Dave Kohn-Hollins has been secured to deliver the BC White Water Safety Training on 18th and 19th May. This is a fantastic opportunity to get WW Safety training with fellow club members.

This course is recommend for WW paddlers, it will teach you how to use safety gear, how to rescue and how to be rescued.

It is also requirement to those who are obtaining their WW Leader qualification.

The course will follow the new British Canoeing White Water Safety Course Programme.

Attendees must come fully kitted for two days intensive training with lots of paddling, a lot of swimming in cold water, and a lot of fun. All normal WW equipment needed, and Dave will advise additional safety equipment that will be needed, prior to the event.

It is recommended you bring your own boat and paddle or they can be hired from the Club. Usual Club hire process applies.

The course fee is £180 per person. Discounted club price.

The fee is required at time of booking. If you need to later cancel then the Club will advise again to members to 'sell on' your course place and you can also arrange to (sell on), however if it is not sold on then with regret the Club is not able to offer any refunds. This mirrors the policy of the Course Provider. Refunds will be offered in the event the Club needs to cancel the course.

Minimum age is 14 but under 18's must have their parent or legal guardian with them on the water.

Please add yourself to the waiting list if all 6 places are taken.

The club bursary policy can be applied for to cover 50% on completion. The form can be found on club members website and needs to be sent to committee asap. This bursary is for members aiming to be club coaches/leaders or commit to help others on club trips etc ( when they feel ready to do so).
