AN opportunity to burn off some  xmas calories on  sections of the llangollen canal to include the pontcysyllte aqueduct and the chirk tunnel.

trip A:  Dave Southrrn leading sea kayaks from the eisteddfod car park in abbey road llangollen to the public car park by  The Poachers pub at chirk bank. 10 miles

trip B:  general purpose kayaks and canoes to be led by Nick Morral and Pete Slack from Trefor Basin to the The Poachers.   5 miles

Skills:  basic skills on flatwater and enough stamina for the distance.

club kit:  liaise with Andy Brooker (07801833044) if you want to borrow a club boat/paddle/deck/BA.  He will be able to bring a load of boats to the paddle but you must confirm with him.  pay boat hire fee via the website.

Kit list:  boat/paddle/deck/BA .  Clothing suitable to winter paddling. (windproof and waterproof, to include gloves and hat), spare warm layer in dry bag to go in the boat ,  flask and snacks.  Headtorch.

AND if you have them,:  throwline/tow line/group shelter

RENDEZVOUS 0915  at the public car park beside the Poachers pub at Chirk bank (Leave the A5 at Gledrid roundabout and take the B road towards Chirk and the pub is on your left in about 200 yards.)
