Banner-wpolo1Shrewsbury Canoe Club focuses primarily on the recreational side of paddle sport and also has an active kayak polo section and a growing interest in flat water racing.

The club prides itself on introducing both children and adults alike to the various forms of paddle sport in a fun and friendly atmosphere. The club aims to keep its costs to members as low as possible to keep paddle sport accessible to as wide a range of the local community as possible.

Although we do not at present have any Stand Up Paddleboards in our fleet we can with prior notice arrange to have some available on our Monday night sessions.

River &  Pool Sessions

Pre-booked Tuesday pool sessions un 7-8pm & 8-9pm. They started on 13 September & run through to Christmas. January to March 2018 is now mostly booked with some slots available for April.

Monday river nights on the Severn at Frankwell finished on 6 September & will start again in the late spring (May prob. 2018)

Canoe Polo resumes Monday 25 September – 8-9pm in the Quarry Centre – get there early & get on the water!

SCC

Annual membership is £15 for youths & students, £20 for individuals, £35 for a family. A Google Docs boat hire booking form is now available for use by members.

You can join via the secure membership site and there’s also a Facebook group where a bunch of Shrewsbury & Shropshire-based paddlers hang out.
